Tracking FM Location Server
Location Server is resided at an FM location facilitating the FM users to manage client users, projects and reporting printing expenses etc. Configure what printers to track print activity set up permission levels to users. The key components are as follows:

• A location database to store local print activity information.
• A server based track service running as a windows service monitoring shared windows printers, processors and ports.
• Configure print monitors, users, permissions, rules, setting media etc.
• A light weight http communication service responsible for maintaining communication between workstation clients and Location server, receiving billing data from users
• Also responsible for maintaining active data cache for clients.
• Data Import Manager at the Location server helps import project and activity related data into the Tracking database.
 
Tracking FM Workstation Client
Workstation Client is installed in all the workstations responsible for billing popup.

• A light weight http server at the client workstation
• Updates data from the server at regular intervals.
• Posts activity data to the FM server when the user submits the billing information
 
Tracking AMC Central Server
Central server holds the consolidated information from all the FM accounts. This information is later used for quick invoicing and reporting purposes.
• Activity data from the FM account locations is uploaded to an AMC central server in regular intervals for billing purposes.
• Consolidated reports
