MetaPrint is a print automation application for processing
and printing batches of print files called jobs. This application
is used by reprographers to improve the productivity, eliminate
manual errors, cut cost and save time. Applications like AutoCAD,
Micro station etc. generate plot files (HPGL, CALCOMP etc.)
from 3-D drawings for printing to large format printers. MetaPrint
processes these files and sends them to printer. This process
involves interpreting the plot files, converting to raster
image and sending to printer.
