Our
Company
MirrorPlus Technologies was founded by "Rahul Roy"
in 1996.
MirrorPlus Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of
American Reprographics Company (ARC), and functions as its
software development arm. ARC is the largest provider of
E-Commerce business solutions in the Reprographics industry.
MirrorPlus renders reprographics software solutions through
PlanWell, a product designed and developed as the largest
online documentation management and distribution exchange
for the U.S. construction industry. In addition, MirrorPlus
has also developed the electronic work order (EWO), the
common platform for online reprographics ordering outside
of PlanWell.
Compaq and Microsoft provide hardware and software respectively
for a sophisticated Distributed Computing Network and Server
Farm linking more than 64 divisions and 164 locations in
US, Canada and England providing them with day-to-day operations,
management and training support.
MirrorPlus Technologies is home for a growing number of
highly skilled software, database and networking professionals.
Included at this site are a LAN/WAN operating center, a
remote database management center and DBA monitoring room,
conference rooms and a state-of-the-art training facility
with capacity for 40 students. The facility also serves
as the network-operating center (NOC) and data center for
ARC’s proprietary network and growing suite of online customer
services.
Rahul Roy, CEO of MirrorPlus Technologies and Chief Technology
Officer (CTO) for ARC says "Thousands of customers
must have access to ARC’s online offerings simultaneously,
so we needed an operating system capable of handling heavy
loads. We also wanted to be in a position to put the new
system through rigorous tests before the cutover. After
some serious research we selected Compaq and Microsoft because
we were looking for technology partners who could put all
of the pieces together to deliver a robust, mission-critical
and integrated solution."
Suri Suriyakumar, president of ARC says "This easy-to-use,
yet extremely sophisticated, online service eliminates paper
order processing, cutting turnaround time to hours instead
of days."
In March 2001, MirrorPlus Technologies contracted with
the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) in Silicon Valley
to conduct a three-week simulated traffic test of its converted
database systems and make recommendations or offer solutions
if any problems were found.
Peter Boit, Vice President of E-Commerce at Microsoft and
head of the company’s MTC efforts says "The MTC provided
a place where Microsoft and Compaq could understand ARC’s
requirements, hear their concerns and deliver the services
they needed in an accelerated and focused fashion."
Compaq Computer Corporation has a strategic marketing alliance
with ARC to provide $10 million over two years in enterprise
infrastructure technology and services to support the company’s
new PlanWell construction documentation platform and world-class
data center.
Bill Weaver, Vice President, U.S. Sales for Compaq Computer
Corporation says "Together, Compaq and Microsoft offer
the breadth and scope of IT expertise that will enable ARC
to integrate new technology that is highly scalable, reliable
and can provide the performance and database security that
its customers require."
